Breast Cancer Month: MP Urges Women to Conduct Regular Checkup

The Member of Parliament for Okaikoi South, Darkoa Newman has urged Ghanaian women to take breast screening seriously.

She noted that most often, women are unenthused about visiting the hospital regularly to screen their breast to detect breast cancer and get early treatment.

She made this known while speaking as a guest speaker during a Breast Screening exercise and talk on breast cancer organized by the New Times Corporation.

Darkoa Newman said although October has been marked as a breast cancer awareness month, it’s prudent women make efforts to screen regularly.
