Breaking News: FIFA Officially Writes To GFA; South Africa Protest Thrown Out

World Football Governing body, FIFA have officially notified the Ghana Football Association about the body’s decision on the protest filed by the South African Football Association.

South Africa filed a protest against Ghana after the last qualification match at the Cape Coast stadium which the Ghanaians won by a lone goal.

The South Africans initially complained that the penalty awarded by the Senegalese referee against them was a soft one.

Subsequently, in their protest, the South Africans also alleged what they claim to be unusual betting patterns they observed during the course of the match.

However, it appears they were unable to conclusively prove their case as FIFA has finally thrown out their protest and notified Ghana of same.

Ghana, therefore, progresses to the last round of qualification to be played in March next year.

An official communication is expected to be released by the Ghana Football Association soon.
