Breaking: IGP, James Oppong- Boanuh Sacked And Replaced By COP Dr. George Dampare

The Inspector General of Police, James Oppong-Boanuh has been removed by President Akufo-Addo.

There had been calls for his removal, particularly, after the attack on a bullion van and the growing insecurity concerns in the country.

He has been replaced by COP Dr. George Dampare, albeit, in acting capacity.

Dr Dampare had been the Director General in charge of Administration at the Police Service.
