Fans of Ghana Division One League side Wamanafo Mighty Royals took to the pitch after the final whistle of their match against Bofoakwa Tano on Sunday to attack the match officials.
According to reports centre referee Niatire Suntuo Aziz lost his teeth while his assistants Suleman Mohammed & Yakubu Abdul Rahman were mercilessly manhandled.
The game was supposed to be played behind closed doors due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic but supporters invaded the stadium with little or no control from the management of the team.
The match ended in a goalless draw and the unhappy supporters took the law into their hands to deal with the referees who they believed failed to live up to their billing.
