Bishop Dag Stayed With Us Even When Armed Robbers Came Wielding AK 47 Rifles – Lighthouse Activates Propaganda Machinery Amidst Damning Allegations
It appears the PR machinery of the Lighthouse group of Churches is finally being activated after a week of massive backlash following damning allegations made by six former Pastors.
The Six former Soldiers of the Lighthouse Chapel army have dragged their former employer to Court claiming among others that their social security contributions were not paid by the Church in accordance with law.
The allegations captured in an explosive report by The Fourth Estate, also claimed that the said Pastors suffered various abuse and trauma in the years that they served the Lighthouse Chapel.
After severe backlash on social media, with the Church refusing to issue an official Communication on the allegations, it is now that some Bishops of the Church are beginning to speak, albeit not in response to the allegations.
In a report published by Myjoyonline, a Bishop of the Lighthouse Chapel recounts how the founding Bishop of the Church, Dag Heward Mills stayed with them all through a robbery incident.
He recounts in these words as reported by Myjoyonline:
“On yet another visit to us in Lagos, after a powerful Sunday morning service, together with all the 40 pastors he came along with from Ghana on this trip (some from the UK and the USA) upstairs in my office, we heard gun shots.
Armed robbers wielding AK 47 rifles entered our church compound firing in all directions. Bishop Dag Heward-Mills was right there during the gun fire!!! A general who visits and stays with his troops even under fire!
God saved us miraculously that day!!
I can never forget how Bishop Dag led the rest of the 40 pastors to pray for me, my wife and the missionary team of Nigeria, and to clap for us, as we got off their bus near the Seme border (Lagos – Cotonou border). What a loving and caring father!!!”.

This although belated, is a sign that the PR machinery of the Lighthouse group of Churches is finally realizing that the severity of the allegations against them will not disappear by prayer alone.
