Be Transparent And Open To All Parties, The Complaints Are Becoming Too Much – Presby Moderator Cautions EC

The Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Prof. Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mantey has cautioned the Electoral Commission to ensure that it commits to fairness and transparency in its dealings with the Political parties.

According to the revered cleric, fairness and transparency is a very crucial ingredient in the management of the electoral process, and its absence could hamper our democratic process.

The man of God’s caution comes on the back of numerous complaints raised by the opposition NDC, and civil society groups as to alleged missing names on the voter’s register and other anomalies.

The moderator was speaking to Journalists on the sidelines of the induction ceremony for the Rev.Dr. Grace Sintim Adasi as the Principal of the Agogo Presbyterian Women’s College of Education in the Asante Akim North municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The Reverend Minister, while admonishing the EC to be fair and transparent in their dealings with all the Political Parties, also cautioned the Parties to be fair in their criticism of the commission’s work.
