Bawumia Will Win NPP Primaries; Alan Has Lost Touch With Reality – Kwakye Ofosu Predicts

Felix Ofosu Kwakye, a prominent member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), holds the opinion that Alan Kyerematen, who is aspiring to be the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has become disconnected from the realities of politics.

He revealed that the individual vying to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming 2024 elections is not adequately contributing or performing up to the expected standards as far as his campaign is concerned.

“It’s regrettable, but Bawumia is currently leading the contenders. Unfortunately, Alan Kyerematen seems to be lacking in significant influence. From my perspective, and with utmost respect for him, it appears that he may be out of touch with the present times. Perhaps his best opportunity was back in 2007, and he might have achieved better results if he had put in more effort then.

I don’t foresee Konadu Apraku and other candidates making a considerable impact. The most captivating candidate, in terms of rhetoric, is Kwabena Agyepong. However, it’s important to note that the average delegate isn’t receptive to internal criticism; their primary concern is the party’s external success. Hence, any actions that potentially arm the opposition could work against the candidate when the delegates ultimately decide.”

Felix Ofosu Kwakye expressed his belief that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will likely emerge victorious in the primaries, although by a narrow margin. However, he remains pessimistic about Bawumia’s chances in the 2024 election, stating that he believes Bawumia will lose because he has not delivered on the promises made to the people of Ghana, and consequently, has failed them.
