Bawumia Will Be Ghana’s Next President – Annoh-Dompreh

In the NPP leadership campaign, Majority Chief Whip Frank Annoh-Dompreh has proclaimed his support for Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia.

He predicts that Dr. Bawumia would be elected President of Ghana in 2024.

“By Allah’s grace, Dr. Bawumia will be the next President of Ghana,” he said. We don’t have a fight with the NDC this time, and we don’t have a quarrel with John Mahama, who we respect and will continue to respect, but you were once an MP, Deputy Minister, Minister, Vice President, and President, so why does Ghana belong to your father? “Now that you’ve completed your role, please take a step back,” he urged.

Mr. Annoh-Dompreh, who is also the Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, told this to NPP delegates at a convention to elect constituency executives.

He informed the delegates that the government has suffered as a result of the party’s low performance in the 2020 legislative elections.

While the party wants to grab additional seats, he believes it is critical that current MPs be protected.

“Today’s parliament has become very hot because we didn’t properly put things in order, resulting in skirt and blouse voting in some constituencies, but I want to say this in the name of God that polling station executives across the country, from Asuogyaman to Zebila, have realized that we need to protect the MPs.” We lost several constituencies, such as Asuogyaman and Ayensuano, because in our body politics, if you gain a majority in parliament, the presidency becomes a bonus for a long period.”

He requested that the delegates honor him by voting for his preferred constituency executive candidates.

“I paid you a visit and spoke with you extensively. I have not let you down. As a result, you must reward me now. This isn’t a joke. I’ve been promoted to the position of Majority Chief Whip in Parliament as a result of your votes. I plan to use this position to help this constituency grow by building roads, Astro turf, and asphaltic overlays, among other things. I’m hoping for a perfect score of 10/10. Oda MP received 10/10, and all Ashanti Region constituencies received 10/10, hence Nsawam Adoagyiri must also vote 10/10.
