Bawumia To Silence Doubters Today As Ken Agyapong Targets 80% Central Region Votes In NPP Super Delegate Congress

Today, on August 26, 2023, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is convening a super delegates conference to select the flagbearer from a pool of ten presidential candidate aspirants. This decision will significantly impact the party’s prospects in the upcoming final elections scheduled for November 4th.

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia is expected to emerge very strong in the voting process to cement his credentials as the best man to lead the NPP in the 2024 General Election.

Dr. Bawumia has emerged as a painful headache for the NDC and a strong showing in today’s congress will cancel all doubts thrown about his ability to lead the NPP to break the 8-year political cycle.

Meanwhile, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong who has also demonstrated his ability to rally the grassroots in an interesting campaign trail is also targeting at least 80% of votes cast in his home region; Central.

Of the roughly 957 super delegates participating in today’s nationwide voting within the party, the Central Region is represented by 55 delegates.

Mr. Kennedy Agyapong expressed confidence to the media that, following today’s elections, he believes his name will be among the top three individuals listed as winners.
