Bawumia Has Shown He Can Lead Ghana After Akufo-Addo – Ken Ofori

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Ghana’s Vice President has demonstrated without reasonable doubt that he is the type of person who can lead if Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo steps down, according to Minister of Finance Ken Ofori Atta.

The Finance Minister stated this on the margins of the TESCON Forum held at the Millennium City, where the Vice President gave a presentation on the state of the economy, to Accra-based Metro TV.

The Vice President’s presentation, according to Ken ofori Atta, lays out what the NPP government has accomplished and the capacity to move the country to the next level of development.

“I believe it lays out very clearly what we have done as a party and our capacity to bring us to the level of transformation that we are discussing.” Clearly, it shows Ghanaians that we have the type of person who can lead after Nana Akufo-Addo goes, which is reassuring,” he told Metro TV on the sidelines of the ceremony Thursday.

During his speech, Vice President Bawumia acknowledged that circumstances are tough in Ghana, but reassured the audience that work is being done to alleviate the country’s suffering.

He claimed that the economy is currently suffering as a result of a worldwide crisis, and that the people of Ghana must assist the government in delivering a better living.

In comparison, he claimed the NPP government had done a good job handling the economy, but promised to do more.
