The Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has promised to pay attention to mechanized commercial agriculture and the application of technology to increase food production in the country if voted into power as president.
According to him, Ghana needs to move into large-scale commercial farming with the approriate technology to help farmers to cultivate enough farm produce that would result in lower prices of food items.
“Although we have vast arable lands together with the required water resources, we lack the application of the needed technology to bolster the growth and development of the agricultural sector,” he stressed.
Meanwhile, the campaign team of Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for election 2024 has announced the completion of his tour across 11 regions of Ghana.
