Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has suspended his Greater Accra regional campaign tour to attend to flood victims in three communities in the West Mamprusi Municipality.
Four villages, Gaagbini, Dimia, Tinkaya and Banawa have been the most sufferers of the devastating flood which came about after heavy rains forced the banks of three dams to break.
According to the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), a three year old child has died while farms, homes, and livestock have been lost.
The Vice President in his visit has provided relief items to the victims while government ascertain how to restore them back to their everyday livelihood.
