Bagbin Suspends Parliament Again In Another Ugly Stand-off After Majority MPs Called For Asiedu Nketiah To Be Sacked

Parliament has been suspended for the second time today by the Speaker after yet another Stand-off.

In this instance, the right honorable speaker was forced to suspend after he failed to bring the house to order following a walk out by the majority caucus.

The majority caucus staged a walk out after the speaker brushed off their protests to sack NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah from the visitor’s gallery.

The NPP caucus resorted to this protest after the speaker had earlier ordered the finance minister, Ken Ofori Atta and others who will not take part in voting to walk out.

This led to NPP Legislators calling for Mr Asiedu Nketiah to also be sacked since he will not take part in voting but the speaker brushed off their protests, Insisting Mr. Asiedu Nketiah was only in the public gallery.

The Speaker consequently suspended sitting for 5 minutes in order to seek to restore order.
