Video: Monstrous Crowd Wait Deep Into The Night, Sit On Rooftops To Welcome Mahama In Atebubu
National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama was received by an enormous crowd as he visited Atebubu in the Bono East region.
According to Ghanaweb, the crowd despite the former president arriving late in the night, waited till 10:00 pm to give him a rousing welcome to the area.
Addressing some tribal chiefs and the crowd, General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia expressed gratitude to the people for waiting deep into the night for Mahama’s arrival and urged them to vote for him in the December polls.
“We are sorry for arriving here late. It is not our fault as we were stopped on the way at every town. So many towns and villages along the way wanted to be addressed by Mr. Mahama. What we have seen here today is an endorsement for Mr. Mahama and Sanja Nanja and we want you to give them your votes for them to deliver on their mandate”, he told the large crowd.
Speaking in Hausa, John Mahama averred that there is evidence to prove that the National Democratic Congress(NDC) has the people in the Zongo communities at heart through its policies in the manifesto and urged the people to continue to have faith in the party.
