The General Secretary for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. John Boadu, has advised other candidates who have expressed interest in vying for his position, to slow down on the showboating exhibitions cords they have been striking.
The incumbent General Secretary in a studio interview on Wontumi TV stated that one is required to “think” and throw away the showboating skills at the General Secretary level.
“You can’t bring showboating to the General Secretary level, we think here”, in an apparent reference to other candidates who would be contesting him in the upcoming primaries.
He argued that it is not the duty of the General Secretary to act in the same manner required of the National Organizer, Youth Organizer, Women Organizer or NASARA rep who have a sole task to use their showboating skills to mobilize people for the party.
Mr. John Boadu maintained that as the General Secretary for the NPP, he is required to think and not focus on giving people with GHC1000 or GHC500, an error he claims some of the other contestants are making.
