Aspiring Parliamentary Candidate Nabbed For Holding Rally Despite Covid-19 Protocol Laws

Information reaching us indicates that, Mr. Joseph Kofi Damte, an aspiring Member for Assin South Constituency has been arrested by the Police for organizing a political rally without Police notice and breaking the Covid-19 protocols.

The aspiring Member of Parliament for Assin South Constituency allegedly had no face mask on and also didn’t adhere to the social distancing laws initiated against the fight of Covid in the provisions of the Public Order Act and the enforcing of Restrictions Laws.

People present when the police got to the rally grounds revealed that, the event had come to a close with the candidate gone.

Mr. Kofi Joseph Damte is in police custody pending investigations and prosecution.

However, the Central Regional CID had taken over the matter.
