DailyMail reports that it has picked up credible information which suggests that the current General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah will be running for the position of National Chairman of the NDC.
Mr Asiedu Nketiah has distinguished himself in his tenure as General Secretary of the Party, winning the trust and confidence of the majority of the NDC grassroots.
On the other hand, the current National Chairman of the Party, Mr Samuel Ofosu cannot boast of the same trust and support from the grassroots.
With majority of the NDC grassroots still blaming Mr Ofosu Ampofo for the Party’s inability to properly collate their own results in the 2020 elections, it is looking more likely that Mr Ampofo will not have his mandate renewed.
Asiedu Nketiah, popularly known as General Mosquito is therefore the likeliest candidate to assume the chairmanship of the NDC, considering his vast knowledge and grassroots appeal.
Daily Mail also reports that the position of National Organizer is heating up with Joseph Yammin, and controversial broadcaster, Salifu Mugabe Maase all battling to unseat incumbent Joshua Hamidu Akamba.
