Italian Giants, AS Roma have confirmed that Ghanaian teenage sensation, Felix Afena-Gyan has tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently isolating at home.
The young man has been in scintillating form for the Italian club after being promoted to the Senior side by Manager, Jose Mourinho few months back.
A statement issued by the club read, “The club can confirm that, following the latest round of molecular testing involving the first-team squad, forward Felix Afena-Gyan has returned a positive test for COVID-19,” Roma’s statement reads.
“The relevant health authorities have immediately been informed. “The player, who has been vaccinated, is doing fine and has now begun isolating at home.”
Felix is expected to be out of action for about 14 days until he returns a negative test for the virus.
