Leader of the Jallo branch of the Tijaaniya Muslim Order, Sheikh Abufayed Ahmad Abdulai Maikano has vowed to give his vote to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and President Akufo-Addo on December 7.
In a show of gratitude to Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia after he built the Muslim Order an ultra-modern complex mosque in Prang, the Sheikh called on his followers to do same as he’s vowed and vote for the NPP.
According to him, the dream of building the ultra modern complex remained a mirage until Dr Bawumia came through and promised to make it a reality.
“On December 7, Insha Allah, I will vote for Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr Bawumia as thank you for what they have done for us,” Sheikh Maikano stated.
“My justification for this bold declaration is that the Prophet Muhammad admonished us to be thankful to those who help us. The Prophet added that he that is not grateful to man won’t be grateful to Allah. That’s why we have to be grateful for this gesture and voting for them is the seal of gratitude.”
