Arrest Kurt Okraku For Causing Financial Loss To The State – Peace FM Presenter Charges

Popular presenter and news anchor at Despite Media Group, operators of Peace FM, Odi Ahenkan Kwame Yeboah, is calling for the arrest and prosecution of Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku and Randy Abbey, for causing financial loss to the state.

His sensational calls follow their supposed involvement in appointing the Serbian trainer, Coach Milovan Rajevac, who led Ghana’s disastrous campaign at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) being hosted by Cameroon.

According to the maverick presenter, the duo persistently ignored directives of President Akufo-Addo not to engage the services of a foreign coach after CK Akunnor was sacked for poor performance.

Speaking on Peace FM, he said in his view, the two have ‘misapplied’ state funds at the expense of the ordinary taxpayer by hiring the services of a coach who is bereft of ideas.

In 1984, then African champions, Ghana, had a similar disastrous campaign when it was hosted by Ivory Coast. It was termed as the Bouake disaster.

In 2006, the Black Stars again had a terrible tournament in Egypt after elimination at the group stage, but later in the same year went ahead to have an impressive World Cup tournament hosted by Germany as debutants.
