In response to the question if the Anti-LGBTQ bill is ready, he said ”We are done working on it which i have the report before me and going through it as we speak, and then i’ll add the dots to the i’s and cross to the t’s and when i’m done, i plan to present this bill before parliament this week and have a second reading. The public especially the press shows keen interest in this bill and i would urge you all to show this much interest in other bills when passed.
The Public was probably with the believe that this bill would be passed the very day it is presented, and i kept on saying it has to go through a process. We had memorandum we presented before the public, which we had almost 200 of them so we needed to listen to everybody that brought up an issue, christian and all kinds of churches. Catholic church, Presbyterian church, the Pentecostal, Islamic group, AIDS Commission etc.”
