A final year student of the Methodist Girls Senior High School by name Cindy Aku Sika Addo has unfortunately passed on.
The Ghana Education Service(GES) confirmed the demise of the deceased in a statement released.
The statement indicates that, Miss Cindy, had died from acute malaria just few weeks after school resumed as they prepared for the West African Senior Schools Certificate Examination(WASSCE).
The statement released by the GES further revealed that, the deceased who took ill was sent to the Tetteh Quarshie Hospital on July 16 Thursday but was transferred to the Koforidua Government Hospital where she passed on.
The Ghana Education has however assured the family of its support in this hard times to the burial of Miss Cindy.
Methodist Senior High School is located in Mamfe in the Eastern Region of Ghana
