Alan Has Lost The Opportunity To Become Running Mate By Contesting Bawumia – Ben Ephson

Experienced journalist and well-known pollster, Mr. Ben Epson, suggests that John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen has missed a significant chance to become running mate by choosing to compete against Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who is destined to lead the NPP into the next election.

Mr. Ben Ephson believes that the optimal choice for Alan Kyerematen to secure a leadership position within the party would have been to endorse Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia ahead of the super delegate conference.

In Mr. Ben Ephson’s opinion, it would have been more strategic for Alan Kyerematen to abstain from competing and instead back Bawumia. By doing so, Bawumia would have been compelled to select him as his running mate for the 2024 general elections. Epson stated this in an interview with Kumasi’s Hello FM.

“If Alan had indicated his support for Bawumia, Bawumia would have been compelled to select him as his running mate. By competing against him, that opportunity has been lost,” he emphasized.

Over the weekend, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia secured victory in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) super delegates conference with 629 votes, amounting to 68.15% of the total vote.
