Akufo-Addo Urges Ghanaians To Queue And Register Despite ‘Hiding’ In Isolation – Ghanaians React Angrily

The President of The Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has rallied Ghanaians to rise up and register in their numbers in order to vote in the 2020 elections despite the glaring threat of COVID-19.

Despite the numerous calls to the President to cease the voters registration exercise, His Excellency seems determined to see an end to the exercise come what may, even COVID.

Various stakeholders, including the Ghana Medical Association and many CSO’s have warned against the continued registration exercise looking at the rising number of daily infections, yet the exercise continues nonetheless.

The President who has been under precautionary isolation after being exposed to a COVID-19 positive patient within his circle has urged Ghanaians to go out and register.

The President’s post did not sit down well with many Ghanaians who responded to his tweet chastizing him for being too focused on power at the expense of lives.
