President Akufo-Addo has terminated the appointment of Mr Adjenim Boateng Adjei as CEO of the Public Procurement Authority with immediate effect.
A Letter released from the office of the President, and signed by the Director of Communications, Mr Eugene Arhin said this decision follows the submission of a report to the President by the Commissioner of Human Rights and Administrative Justice.
Mr Adjenim Boateng was suspended by the President on 22nd August 2019 following an investigative documentary by Manasseh Azure Awuni titled “Contracts for Sale”.
In the said documentary, it was alleged that Mr Adjenim Boateng was using his office to sell contracts to the highest bidder.
Interestingly, the President’s directive came just a day after Manasseh Azure criticized the President and his government in a address he delivered at the Baah Wiredu Memorial lecture.
