Professor at the University of Ghana, Ransford Gyampo says the way and manner in which former Auditor General, Daniel Domelevo was hounded out of office coupled with the Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu’s resignation stained President Akufo-Addo’s reputation.
According to Gyampo, he personally was drawn to President Akufo-Addo because of his incorruptible tag, however, that has not been the case since his assumed office.
He made this known in a yet-to-be-aired interview with Onua TV’s Kwame Tutu.
“One of the things that that drew some of us to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was when he said he was never corrupt but how they sacked Daniel Domelevo from office and how Martin Amidu resigned, I even have a problem with Amidu for resigning because I thought it was a defeatist position he took. But I believe that the matter was not handled properly” by the government.
