Former Member of Parliament for Tema East Daniel Titus Glover has dispelled assertions that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo does not respect the votes of Ghanaians following his comment that he is unperturbed by the threats to vote against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2024 general elections.
In the view of Mr Glover, the President acknowledges that but for the votes of Ghanaians, he would not have been where he is currently as Head of State.
Speaking on the New Day show with Roland Walker on TV3 Wednesday October 19, he said when asked whether the President disrespected Ghanaians by his comment, that “I don’t think so, with all due respect I don’t think so. Because without their votes he wouldn’t have been where he is now, he still appreciates their votes and respects every vote that comes from this country to make him the president.”
