Akufo-Addo Rejected $2billion Loan From LGBTQ+ Group In 2017 – Abronye

The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Abronye DC has claimed that President Akufo-Addo rejected a loan facility of $2billion from the LGBTQ+ community after the country was cut off from gas supply by Nigeria due to financial constraints.

According to him, the LGBTQ+ in a bid to have their activities legalised, attempted to influence the President with the said money, however, he refused.

“Ghana needed $180 million to pay for gas supply for our electricity because although Ghanaians were paying for electricity, Mahama decided not to pay so Buhari cut the supply of Gas to Ghana because of this. The LGBTQI Community came in and said they can give the country $2 billion but their condition for the loan was to legalize homosexuality but the President of Ghana rejected it because he knew the health implications,” he was quoted by mynewsgh.
