Akufo-Addo Has Become ‘A Symbol of Hopelessness’ – Manasseh Azure

Investigative journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni says President Akufo-Addo has lost every integrity he once had hile in opposition.

In a Facebook post reacting to the President’s BBC interview, Manasseh disclosed how he has lost interest in listening to the President who he once admired.

According to him, Akufo-Addo since assuming power in 2016 has become ‘a symbol of hopeless’ who ‘signals right with his words and turns left with his actions.’

“I was one of those who used to sing praises of Akufo-Addo’s speeches when he was in opposition. After becoming president, however, he signals right with his words and turns left with his actions. To me, he has become a symbol of hopelessness.”

Adding that “Those of us who hoped that the Akufo-Addo presidency would signal a change from the messy status quo have been made to completely lose hope in our democratic experiment. What a shame!”
