Renowned Investigative Journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni has questioned why some Ghanaians are complaining about the fact that President Akufo-Addo has failed to deliver the 88 hospitals he promised to deliver within one year.
President Akufo-Addo, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic promised to build 88 hospitals in districts where there were no health facilities to better respond to the health needs of the people.
However, even though the President promised to deliver the said hospitals within one year, not even one has been delivered after more than a year.
This has led to many complaints from concerned Ghanaians who have chided the president for deceiving the country.
In a reaction to this uproar, Manasseh Azure wondered why ghanaians were so apprehensive especially when the president has shown that he does not keep his promises.
He said that President Akufo-Addo, after four years, has failed to build even the foundation of a cathedral he himself promised to build for God.
How could such a person, Manasseh Azure wondered, be able to deliver 88 hospitals in one year.
