Airbus Scandal: We Know You’re Corrupt, Come Out And Speak – Nyindam to Mahama

First Deputy Majority whip, Mathew Nyindam has called on former president John Dramani Mahama to come out and clear the air concerning his involvement in the airbus scandal.

Ghana was cited as one of five countries on January 31, in which Airbus SE, allegedly bribed government officials for favours between 2009 and 2015, according to the UK’s Serious Fraud Office.

This has led to an arrest warrant by the The International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) for Samuel Adam Foster who is also known as Samuel Adam Mahama for his role in the alleged scandal.

With former president John Mahama as president at that time, Mathew Nyindam believes the issues could be understood clearer when he comes out to speak.

“I think that it was the period of his excellency John Dramani Mahama, he should come out and say he was not involved. I think that’s the most important thing. As to whether it was politically motivated or whatever it is, I don’t have facts about that but I think that it is up to the presidency or candidature of John Dramani Mahama to come out and speak about his involvement in this particular scandal. And he will clear the air and everybody will be free,” he said.

He added, “John Mahama when it comes to corruption, he’s known, he spoke about it, we know his stand when it comes to corruption. He’s known to be corrupt, he himself knows he’s corrupt.

“He’s known, we know him, the country knows him, you guys know him when it comes to corruption,” he intimated.
