Accra-Based Food Chain Agrees To Provide Food For UGMC Frontline Personnel After Al-Smith Bombshell

An Accra-Based food chain, Wonder Wings has decided to provide free daily lunch for 25 frontline personnel of The University of Ghana Medical Centre, after COVID-19 patient Gary Al-Smith dropped a bombshell that the personnel have had their source of food truncated apparently due to a lack of funds.

Renowned Joy Fm Sports journalist, Gary Al-Smith, who is currently on admission at the facility after catching the dreaded virus, revealed over the weekend that there were several lapses in Ghana’s case management system.

A day after that, he made the disturbing revelation that the frontline personnel who are the country’s first line of defence in the war against the pandemic, have been left to their fate as their source of feeding have been truncated.

Though he received a lot of flak, notably from government communicators, help has finally arrived as an Accra-based food chain has finally risen to the occassion.

Announcing the good news on his social media pages, Al-Smith shared a photo of the first lunch delivery.
