News Just In: Peace Fm Begs NDC To Return To The Station’s Kokrokoo Show

A letter going viral on social media indicates that Ghanaian media giants, Peace FM, the mother brand of the Despite Media group have taken the initiative to beg the opposition National Democratic Congress to return to the station’s flagship kokrokoo morning show.

The Communications Directorate of the NDC led by the Party’s communications officer, Sammy Gyamfi severed their relationship with Peace Fm a few months ago after their concerns on the empanelling on NDC speakers on the show were brushed aside by show host, Kwame Sefa Kayi.

The NDC had earlier sought to get the Station to bar their former Central Regional Chairman, Allotey Jacobs from appearing on the show in the name of the party, after they accused him of persistent “anti-party” conduct.

The party finally resolved to cut ties with the media network after their requests were overlooked.

Following a claim last week by veteran journalist, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako that the NDC was begging the station behind the scenes to be allowed back on the show, the Party issued a statement through its communications directorate that they had no intentions of returning to the show.

However, it appears the Management of the Station has resolved to take the initiative to end the ‘bad blood’ by calling on the NDC to rescind its boycott.

In a letter signed by the Managing Director of the Station, Fadda Dickson, the media giants urged the NDC to “let sleeping dogs lie and allow harmony to reign.
