National Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah is expected to present himself for interrogation at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at the police headquarters today.
This is to assist investigations into comments made by him concerning the EC’s compilation of the voter’s register.
The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has vowed to come all out to support Bernard Mornah as it has already said it endorses and subscribes to the caution made by Mornah to the Electoral Commission (EC) in respect of the potential outbreak of political violence at registration centers.
Bernard Mornah has said he’ll avail himself, insisting he’s responsible for his words and won’t run away from it.
Mr Mornah is a leading member of the Inter-Party Resistance Against New Register (IPRAN), a group that disagrees with the compilation of the new voter’s register by the EC.
Mornah was quoted saying, “we’ll beat and kill each other” should confusion arise at any voter ID card registration centre during the upcoming exercise.
