A Lawyer for the opposition National Democratic Congress, Edudzi Kudzo Tamakloe has stated emphatically that the flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama will not apologize for endorsing the write-up by Bolga Central MP, Isaac Adongo in which he described some elements in the NPP as ‘Akyem Sakawa Boys’.
There has been several calls from individuals, CSOs, Akyem Youth groups, and even Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, asking the former President to apologize for what they deem as “ethnocentric comments”.
However, Edudzi Tamakloe in an Okay FM interview defended the actions of former President Mahama and rebuffed opinions that he is tribalistic.
According to the young lawyer, the Bolga Central MP’s write-up was clearly directed at the few persons behind the infamous Agyapa deal and not the entire Akan tribe as some would want Ghanaians to believe.
Mr. Tamakloe also noted that even the President has made similar remarks in the past and did not apologize to anyone so he sees no reason why the NDC flagbearer should be made to apologize.
