Popular Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson has questioned the government’s decision to charge each traveller who uses the Kotoka International Airport a sum of $150 for mandatory PCR Tests before they are allowed to enter the country.
It will be recalled that President Akufo-Addo in his last address to the nation, revealed that the government as part of measures put in place for the reopening of the country’s airports, has directed that all travellers take a mandatory PCR Test on arrival at the cost of $150.
However, popular Ghanaian actress Lydia Forson has questioned the decision, wondering why such a test should be necessary when travellers are already required to be tested even before being allowed on a plane.
In a Twitter post, she wrote, “Why are people having to pay ¢150 dollars for another test at the airport, when they’re already required to test 72hrs before departure and show a certificate before boarding?!! Help me understand this please. @NAkufoAddo“
