Equatorial Guinea’s Financial Investigative Agency head, Baltazar Ebang Egonga, has become the center of a national scandal following the leak of over 400 videos reportedly showing him in intimate encounters with various women, including wives of prominent figures in the country.

Egonga, a married man with six children, reportedly recorded these encounters with multiple women, including spouses of government officials, clergy, and even close family friends. The videos surfaced during a fraud investigation, which initially targeted Egonga for alleged financial misconduct but unexpectedly revealed these recordings. Authorities believe Egonga kept the videos private, but the investigation exposed them, leading to his arrest.

Reports suggest that among the individuals featured in the videos are the wives of his pastor, the pastor’s brother, and his godfather. Egonga also allegedly engaged with friends of his younger sister and his own bodyguard’s spouse. In addition to possible legal consequences for misconduct and violation of privacy, authorities are investigating allegations that Egonga may have knowingly exposed several women to sexually transmitted diseases.

This unfolding scandal has sparked widespread public outrage and intense scrutiny from national authorities, who are now delving deeper into both the financial and personal transgressions attributed to Egonga.
