King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the GA Mantse, has declared that the Greater Accra Region will be instrumental in determining the outcome of the 2024 elections in Ghana. This assertion was made during a courtesy call by Nana Kwame Bediako, leader of the New Force Movement, who sought the king’s permission and blessings ahead of his campaign tour of the region.
Describing the upcoming election as the most significant in the history of Ghana’s 4th Republic, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II emphasized the need for a peaceful electoral process. “This year’s election, Accra will decide, Accra will decide and I want to say that it is the most important election in the whole of the 4th Republic, but we need to understand that we are Ghanaians and we need to understand that we must restrain ourselves from being used to hurt each other,” he stated.
The GA Mantse also highlighted the importance of respectful and peaceful campaigning, urging political parties to foster unity and cooperation. He encouraged all citizens to actively participate in the electoral process to ensure that their voices are heard and their votes count.
In response, Nana Kwame Bediako promised to promote peace and unity throughout his campaign, seeking to contribute to a harmonious electoral environment.
