Ghanaian Businesses Suffering Because Of Thieves Who Manage Them – Ken Agyapong

Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has raised concerns over the challenges faced by businesses in Ghana, attributing their struggles to what he claims are selfish and greedy managers.

Agyapong contends that the root cause of the predicament lies in the embezzlement of funds by managers who prioritize personal gain over the growth of the businesses they oversee. He asserts that these managers divert resources towards personal investments and lavish lifestyles, leaving the businesses in a state of stagnation.

The outspoken MP expressed his worry that Ghanaian-owned businesses are particularly affected by this issue, while foreign businesses thrive in the country due to the absence of such malpractices by non-Ghanaian managers.

“I’m sorry, but I will tell you the truth. They will just steal your money, that is why they didn’t vote for me because they knew I was going to crack the whip. We will not allow people to embezzle the state funds at the expense of the poor country,” Agyapong stated.

Agyapong also highlighted the concerning trend of unemployed youth in the country, pointing out that despite the vast natural resources in Ghana, many struggle to find jobs. He emphasized the need for leaders who take action to address these issues, criticizing those who merely speak English without putting tangible solutions in place.

“I’m not giving up on my vision, and all I’m telling you is to pray for me for long life. All I said and the mistakes I pointed out, I will work on them. I would have retired completely, but when I look at the young men and women without jobs in the country, I cannot give up. We will continue to fight. I’m not giving up,” Agyapong declared.

The MP urged Ghanaians to be vigilant and called for a collective effort to rectify the management issues plaguing local businesses. He promised to address the highlighted challenges and work towards ensuring a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.
