Former President John Dramani Mahama has admonished lawyers in the Opposition NDC to take up careers on the bench in order to cancel out NPP’s alleged packing of sympathizers into the judiciary.
Mr. Mahama has accused the Nana Akufo-Addo administration of deliberately filling the courts with NPP sympathizers.
During his address at the 3rd Annual Lawyers Conference of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mahama asserted that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo intentionally selected judges loyal to him to evade accountability after his tenure ends.
Mahama claimed that the NPP administration has significantly populated the judiciary with judges having affiliations to the NPP, with over 80 such appointments already made and more expected in the future.
