Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has emerged victorious in the NPP super delegates congress, winning in a landslide margin that appears to be very instructive.
Alan Kyeremateng who was tipped to be Dr. Bawumia’s closest contender, surprisingly settled for a third position, sitting behind Assin Central MP, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong who took second position.
Mr. Ohene Agyapong had earlier threatened fire and brimstone on President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia, claiming the two connived to drive away his agent.
However, the margin of victory for Dr. Bawumia appears too decisive to support any conspiracy theories and siege mentality.
Provisional results picked up by this portal are as follows:
Dr. Bawumia – 629
Ken Ohene Agyapong – 132
Alan Kyeremateng – 95
Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto – 40
Francis Addai Nimo – 9
Boakye Agyarko – 9
Kwabena Agyepong – 6
Kwadwo Nsafoa – 3
Joe Ghartey – 3
Kofi Apraku – 0
Meanwhile Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his team are already in a vigilant mood celebrating what has been a remarkable victory that puts him at almost 70% acceptance rate.
