US-based Man Accuses Oyerepa FM’s Auntie Naa Of Extortion

A Ghanaian man based in the United States of America, Alex Anderson is accusing his estranged wife and the host of Oyrerepa Afutuo on Oyerepa FM, Auntie Naa of seeking to extort him.

According to Mr Anderson, he has been married to his wife since 2017 but have been separated in the last few years.

In an interview with Pinax TV, he recounted how his wife unbeknownst to him reported their marital issue to Aunty Naa on her program and he was later called by the show host for deliberation on the matter.

He stated that he was reluctant to heed to the call but was given the choice of losing the marriage if he fails to attend to Aunty Naa’s call by his wife.

Mr Anderson said he was coerced into appearing on Aunty Naa’s show where she informed him that their marriage will be dissolved and that he will have to compensate his wife with an amount of GHC100,000.

He was subsequently given four months by the program host to raise the said amount or risk having his house in Ghana sold to compensate his wife.

He alleged that Aunty Naa has since sent surveyors to value the house without his consent and has insisted that the marriage be dissolved even though he is open to resolving the issues confronting his marriage.

“Our marriage has not been dissolved but Aunty Naa says she is dissolving the marriage. Aunty Naa is telling me that she will dissolve the marriage after I pay the money.

“I asked Aunty Naa if she contracted the marriage for me and she said she doesn’t care.

“She asked that I pay one billion (GHC100,000) and I told her I don’t have such an amount. So, she reviewed it down to eight hundred million (GHC80,000) within four months, till the end of October,” he stated.

While insisting that he cannot pay the amount being demanded from him, Alex Anderson stated that he is considering legal action against Aunty Naa.
