Edson Arantes do Nascimento, better known as Pele, a late Brazilian football legend, named a daughter in his will despite having renounced her all of his life, according to the Mirror UK.
According to the UK tabloid, Pele never recognized his paternity in public while he was still living, despite a DNA test proving that the three-time World Cup champion was Sandra Regina’s father.
But Sandra Regina, who was born in 1964 and passed away in 2006, was named as a beneficiary in Pele’s testament.
According to the story, Sandra Regina, who is survived by two sons, was one of the seven kids Pele mentioned in his will.
According to the article, the two Pele grandkids who got to know him while he was in the hospital would receive Sandra’s share of the fortune.
The article states that Pele’s ultimate wish was to meet Octavio Felinto Neto and Gabriel Arantes do Nascimento, and that wish was fulfilled when they paid him a visit on December 28.
Gabriel said: “I thank God for providing this moment, it was what my mother dreamed of most. I spoke to my aunts, and they said that our grandfather wanted to see us.
“We were very excited, it was an opportunity we had been waiting for. Every family has fights and rows, ours is no different, but there are moments when union and love are more important than anything else. We are extremely happy.”
Pele died on December 29, 2022, a day after meeting his grandchildren.
