Deputy National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Chief Biney has posited that the Coronavirus suggests there is a Supreme being above the powers of man, calling on the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to learn lessons from it.
Speaking on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ , the politician said the pandemic is a lesson to all politicians that power belongs to God alone and no human being can show him(God) what to do at a particular time.
“Covid-19 is showing us to know that power does not belong to man but only God, and I expect members of the NPP especially to take lessons from the pandemic,” he said.
According to him, government knows very well the country must be on lockdown to mitigate the spread of the coronivirus. However, the voters’ registration is not allowing them to do that.
He quizzed why a national identification card must be prioritised over lives of citizens.
“The increasing rate of Covid-19 is very alarming but the government of the day has just refused to take up early measures just to satisfy its heart desires.
“My only worry is how human life is being undermined all in the name of satisfying a political need,” he added.
