Former President John Dramani Mahama has finally settled on former Education Minister, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang as running mate for the 2020 election.
The former President is expected to officially announce his running mate to the general public at 5pm today to complete his ticket for the 2020 election. Various names had come up for the enviable position in recent times.
Notable among them were; a former Director-General of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), Dr Isaac Bannerman Nii Moi Thompson, a former Minister of Health and Deputy Campaign Manager for the 2020 elections, Mr Alex Segbefia and a former Finance Minister, Dr Kwabena Duffuor.
However, Mr. Mahama has settled on the candidature of the learned professor who distinguished herself during her tenure as Minister of Education.
Prof Opoku-Agyemang, who is regarded as a woman of integrity, becomes the first female running mate of the two leading political parties in the country [NDC and NPP].
