The New Patriotic Party’s campaign manager for the 2020 general elections, Peter Mac Manu and Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Carlos Ahenkorah have been admitted at the Intensive Care Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after testing positive for COVID-19.
The two are part of a number of state officials who have tested positive for COVID19 and are receiving treatment at various health facilities.
Former General Secretary of the party, Sir. John, died on July 1.

These new developments have seen a section of Ghanaians asking for the postponement of Elections 2020, as activities leading to the elections have potential of spreading the pandemic.
