Police Arrest Five Suspected Drug Peddlers

Five alleged drug addicts and peddlers were apprehended in Berekum, in the Bono Region, by police.

It was carried out to put a stop to criminal activity in the area.

Felix Nyarko, 18, Ernest Atta Yeboah, 22, and Emmanuel Darko, 22, are the suspects.

Gideon Nketiah, 22, and Fredrick Takyi, 20, round out the group.

They have been taken into custody by the police for further investigation.

At the scene, six containers containing dried leaves and a compressed leaf presumed to be Indian hemp were discovered and retrieved.

According to a police situational report made available to Sunyani Journalists, the swoop took place on January 27, 2022 in the Berekum township and Senase, a criminal hideout neighborhood.
