Convener of the ‘Justice 4 Ghana’, Bernard Mornah, has criticized the government for the introduction of the E-levy in the 2022 budget statement.

He said Ghanaians do not want the levy.

Speaking on the Sunrise Show on 3FM with Alfred Ocansey on Wednesday January 26, he said “We will secure our freedom from the electronic transaction levy. If parliament decides to pass it we will go the other way…”

He added “We chose mobile money services because it’s convenient but if it’s becoming expensive we’ll withdraw our money from the mobile services and go back to a cashful society.”
