The alliance, which includes the Elephant Movement, Elephant Soldiers, NPP Vibrant Group, Bantama NPP Florida Fun Group, and others, claims that despite promising to do so, the Akufo-Addo government has refused to hire them and their family in various government institutions.
Mr Emmanuel Ampiah Mensah, the convener of the organizations, stated during a news conference on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, that they had channeled their issues to the appropriate authorities but to no avail.
On behalf of the groups, Mr Ampiah has given the party’s leadership a three-day deadline to call them to a meeting and provide them jobs, or they will carry out their threat on Saturday.
“We’ve put in a lot of effort for this celebration, and we’re hoping for something significant, but we haven’t seen anything yet.” We have colleagues who are unemployed; to date, as I speak, a number of individuals have acquired jobs; but, as of now, none of us has received a contract,” he told regional correspondent Elisha Adarkwa.
“I want the region to come and meet us so that we can communicate our concern to them,” he said, emphasizing that “we are short on jobs.” Our children are in pain. “We are in pain.”
He insisted, “We want them to come to our aid.”
“So, we’re giving them three days; today is Wednesday, we’re going to wait until Friday, and if we don’t hear from the regional executives, we’ll advise ourselves,” he threatened.
