Host of Good Evening Ghana on Metro TV Paul Adom Otchere together with Metro TV, has sent an unqualified apology to former Managing Director of Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation(BOST) after some disparaging comments made by Hon. Kennedy Agyapong on the show.
Paul Adom Otchere and Metro TV disassociated itself from the Assin Central’s MP unfortunate words on the show, Good Evening Ghana on Thursday.
“As you know and as it is scrolling on our screen, on this programme, we always have a permanent disclaimer that scrolls on our screen…views expressed by guests are their own views and they are by no means the views of Good Evening Ghana or Metro TV. I told Kwame Awuah Darko’s lawyers that the views expressed by Kennedy Agyapong are his own views and they are already in court with him over defamation”.
Mr. Paul Adom Otchere said the station was aware of some defamatory suit by a different media platform which was multimedia against Hon. Kennedy Agyapong albeit multimedia was yet to send out an apology.
Kennedy Agyapong was on Good Evening Ghana’s show earlier this week and claimed to have in possession evidences against the former Managing Director of the Tema Oil Refinery(TOR) and Bulk Oil Supply and Storage(BOST) who is rumored to be the 2020 Vice Presidential Candidate for Mahama.
This was after the host of the show asked Hon. Kennedy Agyapong whether he knew who the vice presidential candidate for the NDC in the upcoming General Elections was to which the honorable replied that, “Today they called me and said Awuah Darko. That will be so interesting because he is very corrupt and I’ll hit him hard. He is very very corrupt. I’ve gone for the dossier of all the documents from BOST and I’ll start hitting him hard one-touch”.
Metro TV however has rendered an apology to the Head of BOST by issuing a disclaimer to the former .
